Hot Cross Buns

Fluffy and sweet, these Hot Cross Buns are spiced with orange, cinnamon, and cardamom, then finished with a warm apricot glaze. A true Easter delight!

This hot cross buns recipe yields tender, pillowy rolls that are spiced with orange zest, cinnamon, and cardamom. 

Proof yeast in milk and honey. Combine it with all the other ingredients and mix until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.


Let the dough rise until it's doubled in size.


Shape into rolls and let rise until doubled in size.


Make a paste to pipe across the top of the rolls to form a cross.


Bake and serve warm with apricot jam brushed over the top.
