PECAN PIE BROWIES

RECIPE HIGHLIGHTS

These Pecan Pie Brownies are thick, fudgy, and topped with candied pecans. If you love pralines, you’ll love these! Perfect for the holiday season.

FOR THE BROWNIES

 ½ cup unsalted butter  5 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped  ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder  1 cup granulated sugar  3 large eggs, room temperature  1 teaspoon vanilla extract  ½ teaspoon salt  1 cup all-purpose flour

Whip eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt until frothy.

STEP 1

Whisk in melted chocolate, butter, cocoa powder.

STEP 2

Fold in flour.

STEP 3

Spread into pan and bake.

STEP 4

FOR THE TOPPING

 1 cup light brown sugar ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted 2 tablespoons milk ½ teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup chopped pecans

Whisk the ingredients until well combined.

STEP 1

Spread topping over brownies and bake once more.

STEP 2

Not a fan of pecans? No worries! You can use any crushed nuts that you’d like to make this brownie recipe your own!

During the holiday season, these pecan pie brownies make a great alternative to actual pecan pie. The flavors are similar but the brownies are much easier to make than any pie – and less mess too!
