If you are looking for a delicious snack to add to your spread, I suggest you try my sweet and salty snack mix. It has popcorn, pretzels, M&M’S®, and SNICKERS® Crispers. Everything is held together with a melty marshmallow mixture. Add a dash of sea salt for a finishing touch.

Making the snack mix is super easy. Simply heat the butter and marshmallows in a pot until completely melted. Pour it over the popcorn and pretzel and stir it gently. I like to use a rubber spatula and stir in a slow folding motion. Then add in the candies and sea salt.
The marshmallow syrup concoction will make the popcorn soft and sticky while the pretzels maintain their crunch. It’s a pleasant contrast in texture and flavor.
During football season, I like to find ways to entertain without breaking the bank. I want a clean sophisticated look while keeping within my budget. I’m sure many of you can relate.
This year I decided to put together a self-serve snack area for serving candies and today’s sweet and salty snack mix.
Did you know that Target has all the snacks you need for hosting a get together for game day? Today we’re focusing on M&M’S® Peanut and SNICKERS® Crisper Fun Size.
SNICKERS® also has a fun touchdown mix that’s exclusive to Target. The packaging includes trivia questions which make for a fun halftime showdown.
To set up your self-serve snack area you will need small serving bowls, preferably a solid color, and football-themed stickers. You can easily find items like this at Target as well. Look for stickers in the scrapbook supplies.
Decorate each serving bowl with the stickers and arrange them on a small table. You can place other football themed décor around the bowls if you have enough space.
I set up three bowls in my snack area. One for SNICKERS® Crisper Fun Size, one for M&M’S® Peanut, and one for a snack mix I made incorporating both of the candies.
I kept the snack area small and sweet because we had another table full of finger foods that were more on the savory side. Once our guests got their fill of savory, they were able to graze on sweets from the snack area.
Once you have the bowls decorated and filled, your self-serve snack area is ready. If you buy a couple bags of each candy, you can easily refill the bowls. Try mixing it up with other varieties of M&M’S® and SNICKERS®.
What do you think of this self-serve snack area? Target has all of the items needed to sweeten your game day spread. With one trip, you are on your way to setting up your own.
