I think it’s safe to say we all have times when we feel overworked, over studied, and just pushed to our limits. That is why it is so important to find time to unwind, rejuvenate, and refresh. If your day to day life has you busy and exhausted then you need to treat yourself with some relaxation and a special treat or two.

This post has been sponsored by DOVE®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Every evening I set aside time to unwind. Just like how I have a morning routine to jump start my day, I have an evening routine to relax and refresh my mind, body, and soul.

Slowing down about an hour before bedtime is my goal. I’ll sit with a tall glass of strawberry mojito infused water and a few pieces of DOVE® Promises®. Usually, I’ll cuddle up next to my hubby on the couch and watch an episode of our favorite TV show.

This downtime is exactly what I need to clear my mind and let all the stress of the day slowly dissipate.

Dove Promises and a Walgreens bag

Sometimes I get so busy throughout the day that I forget to drink the recommended eight glasses of water a day. Dehydration does a number on your body including clouding your mind, which makes it difficult to focus.

The strawberry mojito infused water is a really great way to get refreshed before bedtime. Its minty strawberry flavor is soothing. And after just one glassful, I’ll feel hydrated and relaxed.

I pair the infused water with Almond and Dark Chocolate Dove Promises and it’s complete bliss. There’s truly no better way to de-stress and unwind.

Dove Chocolate candies

Even the messages inside the Dove chocolate wrapper make me feel calm. They are a great reminder that you are worth it! You’re worth the downtime. You’re worth caring for yourself. “What are you waiting for?”

Lucky for me Walgreens is right up the street. It’s actually within walking distance. So, when my candy dish is low on Dove chocolate, I will head there to grab more.

The chocolates are great on their own, but I highly recommend you try them with the strawberry mojito infused water. It’s so good! Mint and chocolate are always a huge hit. And strawberries with chocolate will make you melt where you stand.

Ingredients for Strawberry Mojito Infused Water

The water takes just a few seconds to prep and the flavors begin to meld almost immediately. All you need are cucumbers, limes, strawberries, and mint.

I like to slice the cucumber and lime very thin with a mandolin. They release the most flavor this way. Then I halve the strawberry slices. Halving them will help keep them from looking waterlogged too soon. The mint can be added whole with the stems. However, if it’s not super fresh, tear the leaves to allow the oils to infuse the water.

Add all the ingredients to a gallon sized pitcher and fill it with cold water. Let the water sit at room temperature for two hours and then refrigerate it. Remove all the solids after twenty-four hours and consume the water within 3 days.

Heed my advice and head to Walgreens to grab a pack of your favorite DOVE® Promises to enjoy with strawberry mojito infused water at the end of the day because you are worth it! Best part? You can save $1 when you purchase two DOVE® Promises bags at Walgreens from April 30th to June 4th.

I heard Strawberries are somewhat like Cherries in sense of being good for joint lubrication. Is this true? And I never knew you could have Strawberries before bed because don’t they have carbs in it?
